The conference will address plant nutrition across a broad range of cropping systems, including arable farming, field crops, horticulture, fruit production and viticulture. Contributions will span from plant nutrition physiology, fertilization strategies and nutrient management to cellular processes, stress responses and product quality. A central focus will be on nutrient uptake, allocation and use efficiency, linking fundamental plant mechanisms with practical questions of crop production. This perspective will be extended to soils and substrates, including organic matter, humus dynamics, circular nutrient strategies and the role of microorganisms in nutrient mobilization. Particular attention will be given to microorganisms and biostimulants in the soil-plant system, especially where microbial processes act as biostimulant drivers of plant performance and nutrient acquisition. By connecting plant physiology, soil biology and applied crop management, the conference aims to stimulate exchange across disciplines and production sectors in a setting shaped by horticulture, fruit science and viticulture.
